Music Tuition that inspires

Fiona is a qualified and experienced music teacher based in Surrey offering private lessons from her home in Epsom.

Fiona teaches and encourages young musicians who are interested in having one to one singing, piano or music theory lessons.

Fiona can also provide short term learning opportunities for students to trial lessons, booster lessons to increase confidence before an exam and extra tuition during school holidays.

Singing Tuition (grades 1-8)

Fiona’s tuition is individually designed for younger students from complete beginners up to grade 8. Fiona can offer both regular weekly lessons and booster classes for students who have exams or performances approaching. Students will learn repertoire, music theory, aural and sight singing skills relevant to their ABRSM level. They will also learn how to develop a strong vocal technique to project a confident, healthy sound and gain confidence in performing.

Little Fingers

For children aged 5 or above. These piano lessons are specifically designed for younger children with little fingers! Your child will learn how to navigate their way around the piano, read musical notes and rhythms and enjoy learning to play music in an interactive and exciting way.

Piano Tuition (grades 1-5)

Students will learn repertoire, music theory and aural skills, relevant to their ABRSM level. Lessons focus on the technical aspects of playing the piano, learning how to make good sound and to interpret music in an artistic manner.

Music theory (grades 1-5)

Music theory is vitally important for anyone learning an instrument. It helps pupils to understand notation, melody, rhythm, harmony, form, structure and texture and expressive qualities of music, all of which help us to become fully rounded musicians. Music theory will normally be taught alongside the chosen instrument however Fiona also offers this a separate stand alone subject.

Tuition Fees:

£22.50 per half hour

All lessons will be with Fiona who is an experienced and motivational teacher for singing, piano and music theory. Fiona has a valid DBS certificate and full training in the necessary safe guarding of children. All lessons are tailored to the individual so please discuss in confidence with Fiona any specific difficulties your child may have.
